Jeanne-Marie Melendez founded JMNYC with a simple belief: jewelry should become part of your story.

"I’m fascinated by the way a piece of jewelry can transport you back to a moment in time—a celebration, a journey, a milestone, or a person you love. I love opening my own jewelry box and remembering where each piece came from and the memories it holds. My hope is that each JMNYC design becomes a piece you’ll reach for often and treasure for years to come.

After moving to New York City from Chicago, I immersed myself in the world of luxury design. The early years at Bergdorf Goodman, Lalique and Frette surrounded by exceptional European design, refined my appreciation for timeless style, thoughtful details, and enduring quality.

Today, I design every JMNYC collection from my studio in New York City’s Flatiron District. My signature is color—unexpected combinations of natural gemstones and freshwater pearls that feel sophisticated, effortless, and distinctly modern.

For more than 20 years, I’ve shared my collections directly with women across North America through trunk shows and personal appearances. Those conversations continually inspire my work and remind me that the most-loved jewelry isn’t reserved for special occasions—it’s the jewelry that becomes part of everyday life."
